Seniors' Club

Note:
The club closes for the months of July and August.
The club at St .Gabriel’s is delighted to have celebrated its 13th birthday in March 2019. The Club has grown from strength to strength and has embraced change, inclusion and responsibility with our members enjoying and taking part in many activities like art, keep fit, craft, creative writing, ballroom dancing and learning computer skills. The members — or 'recycled teenagers' as some people like to be called — take two short holiday breaks a year and enthusiastically look forward to our monthly day trips. We have laughed, sung, listened and danced with the many speakers who have entertained us over the 16 years.
The Club is run by a group of willing volunteers who all feel the benefit of the interaction and good humour shared by our members. The ritual of meeting and sharing a cup of tea is a very Irish tradition and is a social lifeline for many people. The committee, volunteers and club members are
looking forward to many more years of growing and knowing that 'everyday may not be good, but there is something good in every day’.
